Behold the steamed yam.
The Cactus triggers are working again. I scared them with some electrical engineer voodoo, which is to say I opened them with screwdrivers, scowled, and they decided to work before I pulled out the soldering iron.
Got about 5 shots before the dog came to check out the food styling, and this shoot was over.
I don' t like the shadow in the background near the center of the photo.
But again, any night I get to drag out the strobist gear can't be all that bad.

You're very demanding! I'm only just learning to recognize things like subtle shadows off in the background -- I'd have been quite satisfied. Nice shot, great color, cool dish, and poor dog.
